Creative writing workshops for undergraduates
In
the spring of 2008, the TimWord group started a series of creative writing
workshops on short-story writing. The workshops are aimed mainly at
undergraduate students, but welcome graduates as well, irrespective of subject.
The classes are ranged throughout the semester and take place once a week at
the University of the West Timişoara.
During
the workshops we try to offer the students an environment in which they can
practise and improve their creative writing skills in English and also explore
their creativity and imagination. The topics discussed and practised deal with
the basics of fiction writing, ranging from character and plot development to
the effective use of various writing techniques.
